General Wellness and Vaccination: Regular wellness exams are key to keeping your pets healthy. It is essential that your pets have their yearly exams to make sure medical problems are caught and treated as early as possible before they become potentially life-threatening and expensive.
During an exam we examine your pet’s eyes, ears, nose, oral cavity, listen to your pet’s heart and lungs, carefully examine the skin and coat for any unusual lumps or swelling, palpate the abdomen and perform an orthopedic evaluation of the bones, joints, and back.
All appointments are flexible for the client’s needs and usually can be met within 24hrs or less. Each session is booked for an hour so you don’t feel rushed through your pet’s appointment.
On-Site Pharmacy: We maintain a mobile inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. No veterinary visits required for prescription pick up.
Laboratory: We come directly to your door to get any blood work or other biological samples we may need from your pets. Off-site laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
X-Rays: Digital X-rays are performed off-site at the Veterinary Imaging Center of San Diego (VICSD) by a board certified veterinarian radiologist. The equipment provides high quality radiographs of your pet’s bones, thorax and abdomen, which can help with quick diagnosis of many different disorders. At the time of your pet’s procedure, the radiologist will consult directly with you and Dr. Grove.
Mobile Ultrasounds: Ultrasounds can be an important, non-invasive diagnostic tool for your pet. Used primarily for abdominal and cardiac problems, ultrasound provides veterinarians with high level imaging of what is happening insides your pet’s body. This can help diagnose disease and other health problems quickly and efficiently. Dr. Grove can have a board certified radiologist come and perform a procedure at your home if ultrasound is necessary.
Surgery: If major surgery is required, you will be referred to a local veterinary hospital.
